I recorded Hide Away last Novemeber 2017, and got the final mix completed later tha year. I had previously posted the song with different cover artwork in early 2018. But then in May I redesigned the cover artwork and re-posted the tune on SoundCloud and other media sites.
It's an up-tempo driving rock song with vocals and solo guitar. The lyric describes someone on the run from their past and trying to stay ahead of an uncertain future while running out of options with every turn they take.
